    Scarce dated type struck during the combined reign of Mary Tudor (first daughter of King Henry VIII) and Philip of Spain.

    Well struck & centered with full readable legends.

    Obverse: facing busts of Mary and Philip, crown and date above, PHILIP ET MARIA D G R FR NEAP PR HISP (Philip and Mary by the Grace of God, King of England, France, Naples and Prince of Spain).
    Reverse: crowned shield with denomination (X II) flanking crown, POSVIMVS DEVM ADIVTOREM NOSTRVM (we have made God my helper).
